Loksado – Meratus Rainforest Trekking
After breakfast, the journey starts towards the rainforest for jungle trekking to Dayak villages. The trek offers an exciting route over hanging bridges, small rivers, and hills with stunning views. In the afternoon, return to Loksado via a different route for an overnight stay.

Loksado – White Water Rafting – Banjarmasin
After breakfast, the adventure begins with bamboo rafting down the Amandit River. The ride flows through the rainforest, showcasing beautiful flora and fauna, until reaching Muara Hariang, where the car awaits for the return trip to Banjarmasin.

Banjarmasin Floating Market – Balikpapan
Early in the morning, visit the Floating Market of Banjarmasin, a fascinating glimpse into the local way of life. Afterward, return to the hotel for breakfast, followed by a city tour visiting local markets and the grand Sabilal Muhtadin Mosque. Lunch will be served during the tour, and in the late afternoon, transfer to the airport for the flight to Balikpapan.

Balikpapan – Samarinda – Mahakam
A relaxed breakfast before departure to Loa Janan, where the Houseboat awaits for an exciting adventure on the Mahakam River. Meals and overnight stay on the boat.

Muara Muntai, Mancong, Tanjung Isuy, Melak
The journey begins with a short visit to Muara Muntai, a unique village built on wooden stilts. Then, the trip continues by motorized canoe across Lake Jempang to Mancong. Along the way, you will enjoy views of the rainforest, wildlife, and a variety of bird species. Upon arrival in Mancong, there will be a welcoming ceremony by the Benua Dayak tribe. Here, you will also find one of the oldest longhouses. In the late afternoon, return to the boat for dinner and overnight stay. The boat will continue sailing towards Melak.

Melak, Eheng, Ombau Asa
Upon arrival in Melak, the journey continues by car through the beautiful highlands to the village of Eheng to visit the longhouse of the Tunjung Dayak tribe. Then, the journey continues to Kersik Luway, where the rare black orchid can be found. In the afternoon, visit the Ombau Asa waterfall, an excellent spot for swimming and relaxation. Afterward, return to Melak to board the boat and sail downstream to Muara Pahu.

Muara Pahu, Kadang Pahu River, Mount Bayan, Terbisak
Upon arrival in Muara Pahu, the journey continues by motorized canoe for more than an hour towards Mount Bayan to visit Terbisak, a Dayak village inhabited by the Benau Dayak tribe, who still maintain their traditions of dry rice farming and hunting methods. Next, the trip continues downstream along the riverbanks covered with dense forest, offering a unique opportunity to observe otters, proboscis monkeys, and various birds. As you reach the delta of the Belowan River, you may have the chance to spot freshwater dolphins in the merging currents of the Kedang and Belowan Rivers. In the late afternoon, return to the boat and sail downstream to Tenggarong.

Tenggarong, Pampang, Equator Line, Sangatta
Early in the morning, the boat sails to Tenggarong. Upon arrival, visit the former palace of the Sultan of Kutai Kartanegara, which houses a large collection of trophies, ceramics, and Dayak art. Then, travel by car to Sangatta, with a stop at the Pampang Kenyah Dayak village, known for its carvings influenced by Chinese and Dong Son cultures. Here, you can see women with long-stretched earlobes and traditional Dayak tattoos. After lunch at a local restaurant, the journey continues to Sangatta, crossing the equator along the way. Lunch and dinner will be provided at a local restaurant.

Sangatta, Kutai National Park
In the early morning, the trip continues by motorized canoe along the Sangatta River into the heart of Kutai National Park. Upon arrival at the temporary orangutan research station, luggage will be left behind, and the journey continues with a trek into the rainforest to observe wild orangutans and other wildlife. After lunch at the research station, another trek will take you deeper into the forest to discover the park’s diverse flora and fauna and experience the beauty of the untouched jungle.

Kutai Reserve, Sangatta River Delta
After an early breakfast, take a motorized canoe to the mangrove forest in the delta of the Sangatta River to spot proboscis monkeys, crocodiles, various bird species, and other wildlife. Afterward, return to Sangatta for lunch and then continue to Samarinda for dinner and an overnight stay.

Samarinda, Balikpapan, Tarakan
After breakfast, relax until it’s time to transfer to the airport for the flight to Tarakan. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, take a city tour, including a visit to the Mangrove City Park, home to countless monkeys and a variety of orchids. If time permits, a visit to WWII war memorials is also possible. Dinner will be at a local restaurant.

Tarakan, Malinau, Desa Setulang
After breakfast, head to the harbor for a speedboat trip to Malinau, which takes approximately three hours. With some luck, you may spot freshwater dolphins and proboscis monkeys in the delta of the Sesayap River along the way. Upon arrival in Malinau, the journey continues by motorized canoe to Desa Setulang, provided the water level is high enough. If not, the trip will proceed by car. Upon arrival, take a short village tour to get an impression of local life. Overnight stay in a lodge or with a local family. Meals will be provided during the journey.

Desa Setulang, Jungle Trekking
Spend two full days trekking through the rainforest, where you will have the opportunity to observe hornbills, kingfishers, and other exotic wildlife. Before setting off, witness the daily life of the Dayak people. Enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding jungle from the hilltops. Overnight stays will be in a jungle campsite or a local hut.

Desa Setulang, Malinau, Tarakan
After an early breakfast, take a motorized canoe downstream toward Malinau. From there, continue the journey to Tarakan for a few days of rest and a comfortable stay at a hotel. Lunch and dinner will be provided along the way.
